The CrossFit Games Open 2017 begins officially on Thursday! The WOD will be announced Thursday night through this link with a live show beginning at 8PM EST:

For all of our members who will be participating, we are asking you to also earn the Judge’s Certification through that same link. This will help ensure we can appropriately manage classes while judging and it’s definitely a kind gesture to repay the favor of judging after you’ve just completed the WOD. The CrossFit Games athlete supplies all of the necessary information about how to register and record your scores. Note that we will not be running an internal version of this as we did last year.

Also, we will program the Open WODs for both Fridays and Saturdays throughout these next five weeks. On Saturdays, we will offer an optional WOD for those who don’t wish to perform the Open workout or for those who already completed it. Also, we will provide a pinned post on the CrossFit Strongsville Community Core page where you can comment if you can’t make it to one of the classes on Fridays or Saturdays to be judged. We will not allow second attempts during the Monday classes (with the exception of Coaches) as last year it was unfair to the participants in the classes. There are many Open Gym offerings, but you MUST comment on the Facebook thread to secure a judge. If you choose to drop by in the hopes of being judged, you may have to accept “no” for an answer as it can be very disruptive to daily operations.

Due to the later announcement, this normal blog post may go out late Thursday night to announce the WOD we’ll be having, but you can see it each week announced at 8PM EST on games.crossfit.com. All movement standards are listed for scaled and Rx divisions, complete with age brackets.

*Can be modified with Knees to Elbows, Toes thru Rings, Hanging Knee Raises, etc.*

WOD
5 rounds, 1 min per station, of:
Wall Ball, 20/14 lbs, 10/9 ft
Box Jump, 24/20 in
AbMat Sit-up
Rest 1 min
Perform this like “Fight Gone Bad,” by rotating
immediately to the next station every 1 min,
the clock does not stop or reset between stations.
